Details
A long-time vegan and animal activist, Colleen Patrick-Goudreau founded Compassionate Cooks to empower people to make informed food choices and to debunk the myths about veganism and animal rights. She does this through cooking classes, nutrition courses, articles and essays, lectures and workshops, her popular podcast Vegetarian Food for Thought, and her first-of-its-kind cooking DVD. Colleen has appeared on the Food Network, she is a columnist for VegNews Magazine, and is a contributor to KQED radio. Her first cookbook, The Joy of Vegan Baking: Compassionate Cooks' Traditional Treats and Sinful Sweets, is due out in October 2007. In her downtime, she can be found obsessively watching films with her human hubby, tending to her organic garden, and cuddling with her feline boys.
